CW MARS Welcomes Three New Member Libraries
We are excited to welcome THREE new member libraries this fiscal year! The Becket Athenaeum in Becket, MA joined CW MARS on July 1st. The Becket Athenaeum serves both Becket, MA and Washington, MA, two small municipalities located in Berkshire County. The current population of Becket is approximately 1931 and Washington is approximately 494. The Hamilton Memorial Library in Chester, MA joined CW MARS on July 1st. Chester is a small, rural town, located in Hampden County. The population was 1,228 at the 2020 census. The Goshen Library in Goshen MA also joined CW MARS on July 1st. Goshen is a small, rural town, located in Hampshire County. The population was 960 at the 2020 census. Goshen is automating their collection and for the first time their patrons will be able to search and place holds online. Over the past five years, fourteen small public libraries have joined the CW MARS consortium. Residents of those communities are now able to easily access and borrow the millio
